Failsworth lies between Manchester and Oldham and a short distance from junction 22 of the M60. FirstGroup provides frequent bus services to Oldham, Manchester City Centre, Huddersfield and Shaw while the newly extended Metrolink gives access to the rest of Greater Manchester.

Most homes in the area are within walking distance of Oldham Road where you can find a variety of shops and supermarkets, including Aldi, Tesco and Morrisons, Failsworth is also home to the well know Housing Units department store.

Within the area are Oldham Community Leisure’s Failsworth Sports Centre with recently renovated swimming pool and facilities, Failsworth Soccer Centre, with both grass and synthetic pitches, and two parks, Lower Memorial Park and Higher Memorial Park, both with Bowling Greens, Tennis Courts, 5-a-side Football area, Playgrounds and a Natural play area. Daisy Nook Country Park is located at the boundary with Tameside where there are waterways, a lake, a canal, woodlands, wildflower meadows and footpaths and bridleways for horse riding.
